This is a compilation of the writings of Caley, with commentary by the editor.
George Caley 1770-1829
Caley arrived in Port Jackson in May 1800, aged 30, and left with Governor William Bligh in May 1810. he was employed by Sir Joseph Banks, to undertake botanical work.
He also made a number of exploratory journeys, enterprising and arduous. He nearly succeeded in being the first to cross the Blue Mountains.
